Proportion Piscivore Biomass (PPB) 2014-2018

The Percent Piscivore Biomass (PPB) indicator is part of the RAP suite of metrics used to monitor fish community health in the Lake Ontario nearshore. This data represents a snapshot in time from 2014–2018. Fish communities are monitored during summer and fall. During the fall, fish are more commonly found in the shallow water compared to other times of the year. It is expected that some sites will have lower/higher PPB values compared to the target. The intent of the target to look at the overall results rather than specific sites. For more information on RAP, please go to: torontorap.caStationName = TRCA electrofishing transect name

Habitat = nearshore habitat type (embayment, open coast, estuary/river)

Easting = Easting and northing coordinates are associated with the Universal Transverse Mercator coordinate system (UTM), which has unique zones that cover the Earth to provide detailed referencing.

Northing = Easting and northing coordinates are associated with the Universal Transverse Mercator coordinate system (UTM), which has unique zones that cover the Earth to provide detailed referencing.

N Rows = Number of years averaged together through 2014-2018)

Sample Season = When sampling occurred (summer, fall)

PPB Value = Percent Piscivore Biomass (PPB) = Percentage of piscivore biomass to total fish biomass

Rating = Does PPB value meet target of 20%? (meets target (>=20%), almost meets target (15-19.99%), does not meet target (<15%))
